1Who we are
ApplyRight is a job search service provided by Whitecollars Consultancy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11478911), registered office 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller, registration number ZB175083. In this policy "ApplyRight", "we" and "us" mean Whitecollars Consultancy Ltd.
This policy covers the website applyright.net: visiting it, contacting us, booking a discovery call, buying a package and buying a package as a gift. Once you become a client, the ApplyRight app has its own Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the information you share during your job search.
2What we collect
When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, the subject you choose and your message.
When you book a discovery call: your name, email address, phone number, your current role and the role you are aiming for, your time zone, and the date and time of the call. We may also keep notes your consultant makes during the call.
When you buy a package: your name, email address, phone number, country, the package you chose and the payment confirmation. Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
When you buy a gift: your details as above, and the details you give us about the person receiving it: their name, phone number, email address, your note to them and any tips you share about their job search.
When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: your name, number or email address and what you send us.
When you visit the website: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived. Some of this comes from cookies, explained below.
We do not need information about your health, religion, ethnicity, political opinions, sex life or criminal record. Please do not send it to us.
3How we use it and why
| What we do | Why we are allowed to |

| Process your order, start your service and send your receipt. | To perform our contract with you. |
| Contact the person who receives your gift and share your note with them. | To perform our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in delivering your gift. |
| Keep the website secure and working. | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website. |
| Send you news and offers about ApplyRight. | Your consent, or our legitimate interest where you have bought from us or asked about our services. You can opt out at any time. |
| Keep invoices and payment records, and respond to legal claims. | To comply with the law, and our legitimate interest in defending legal claims. |
We do not sell your information. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means alone.
4Gifts
When you buy a package as a gift, you give us information about another person. Please only do so if you believe they would be happy for us to contact them.
Within one working day of your order, we message the person receiving the gift on WhatsApp, tell them about your gift and share your note. We tell them who sent it and point them to this policy.
Your tips are private: only their consultant sees them. The person receiving the gift does not see them.
The gift stays valid for 12 months. If it is not used in that time, we delete the recipient's details, except what we must keep in our order records.
5Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use only the cookies the website needs to work, for example those set by our payment and booking providers when you use them, to keep your checkout secure and your booking working.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, such as checkout, may then not work.
6Who can see it
- The ApplyRight team: the people who answer enquiries, hold discovery calls and look after orders. Each person sees only what their role requires.
- Service providers who work for us: website hosting, payments, email delivery, call booking and video meetings, messaging, and the internal systems we use to manage our work. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, where needed.
- Authorities when the law requires it.
- A buyer of our business, if all or part of it is sold, under the same protections.
We do not share your information with employers until you are a client and we apply for jobs for you, as described in the app's Privacy Policy.
7Where it is stored
Our team works from London, Riyadh and Cairo, and some of our service providers are based in the European Union or the United States. When your information is accessed from or sent to another country, we protect it with the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum approved by the UK Information Commissioner. You can ask us for more details.
8How long we keep it
- Messages and discovery call records that do not lead to an order: 2 years from our last contact, then deleted.
- Orders, invoices and payment records: 6 years, because the law requires it.
- Gift recipient details: until the gift is used, or 12 months if it is not used.
- Marketing preferences: until you opt out. We keep a note of your opt-out so we do not contact you again.
- Cookies: only for as long as each one is needed for the website to work.
When you become a client, the retention periods in the app's Privacy Policy apply to the information you share during your service.
9How we protect it
- The website uses encrypted connections.
- Only team members who need your information to do their job can see it, and they are bound by confidentiality.
- We have procedures to deal with any suspected data breach, including telling you and the regulator when the law requires it.
10Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to uses based on our legitimate interests, including marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it;
- receive the information you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere.
Email info@applyright.net to use any of these rights. We reply within one month and there is normally no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
